I added some information from scholarly articles to give an idea of Whitnall's legacy. I'm not active on Wikipedia, so sorry if my edits don't conform with procedure. Whitnall was an interesting person and there is information about him and his plans in a few scholarly articles and books. I hope someone brings this page up to snuff.
