My partner User:Pharmscistudent and I (MatChem121) will be updating this page for a class project this semester. The final page will be uploaded in April 2011. We plan to reorganize the page and add information on kinetics, synthesis and a variety of other details. We will post our outline soon. MatChem121 (talk) 15:20, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cationic polymerization is a topic of mid-level importance in polymer chemistry; although I'm leaving it as a stub, I believe it's definitely worth having and expanding the page. Anionic addition polymerization has a fairly thorough page, and although cationic is less common, it should still merit coverage on Wikipedia. BlyumJ (talk) 18:09, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still working on this - give me an hour. BlyumJ (talk) 17:54, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I declined the speedy based upon the expansion you made, and i see no further issues that would warrant a tag. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 20:18, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Effect of Temperature[edit]

In the effect of temperature portion of the article, I'm editing the sentence which states that "since Ep is small compared to Ei and Et, the activation energy is effectively negative" In reality, the reason for the apparent negative activation energy is because Et is apparently much larger than Ei+Ep. Therefore in the equation, E=Ei+Ep-Et, since Et is large, E is negative. Ep being small has not very much to do with E being negative because Ep could be very small, but if Ei and Et were equal, E would be positive. Point being, Et being large has more of an effect on E than Ep being small. Mr.PolyIB (talk) 16:12, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Mr.PolyIB[reply]
