NOTE: The current and complete name of the fire group at The University of Edinburgh is "BRE Centre for Fire Safety Engineering" becuase one of the main sponsor is BRE (Building Research Establishment)

Muffinon recently removed the 'building engineering' category on the grounds that 'fire protection' is in 'building engineering'. This is fine with me when applied to general fire protection engineering entries but the case at hand, note than Cardington Tests are the first fire & structures experiments conducted with a large-scale building. Its relevance to 'building engineering' is enormous, the findings led to a paradigm change in the way structures in fire are thought. Grein (talk) 23:18, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
