  • Hey Ryan, could you recheck the source that says the maximum length is 221 cm ? I left it there for now, but that's a big discrepancy between what Fishbase says and what that book says. Kare Kare (talk) 08:59, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, i cant remember where i got that off the top of my head. for now i'd say go with fishbase, but i'll keep looking into it. it may have come from a semi-reputable reference i used when i was writing the article, but the book is back home (im at collage now) so i'll see what the relatives say. peace. p.s. i got the info on the spines straight from fishbase
Don't worry too much, its not a big deal, just thought a recheck might be useful. On another note, i can't understand how a fish with a circumtropical distribution can have so little information published on it. Most species present in the Atlantic have gallons of published information on their biology and ecology. Not a single paper deals with the black jack's diet or reproduction... i guess it must be a rare fish. Kare Kare (talk) 07:23, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
yeah, i know what you mean. maybe its just rare in areas where people are looking for papers to write! I'll keep an eye out for diet and repro stuff. and i'll make sure IUCN hasn't listed it. Ryan shell (talk) 17:23, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
