Fair use rationale for Image:JCOTY.png[edit]

Image:JCOTY.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Discrepancy for 2013–2014[edit]

The lead-in paragraph states "The most recent recipient of the award, for 2013–2014, is the Volkswagen Golf", while the table lists "2013–2014 — Honda Fit/Jazz". This is unsurprising since both claims have sources: Autonet – Golf named Japanese Car of the Year (referred to in the body as "Car of the Year Japan") and The Green Car Web Site – Honda Jazz Hybrid wins Japan Car of the Year (referred to in the body as "Japan Car of the Year"). Are there actually two separate award bodies with almost identical names?--Rfsmit (talk) 19:41, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure. According to http://jcoty.org/, the award is called "Car of the Year Japan". However, the abbreviation JCOTY suggests "Japan Car of the Year". In any case, jcoty.org clearly says that VW Golf was the winner in 2013-14. I think that site is more convincing than the Honda references which are just second-hand reports. The page Honda Fit says nothing about the award. I have changed back to VW Golf now and added a reference to jcoty.org, but I guess someone will revert it soon.
