Population[edit]

In text it says Capua has less than 20,000, but the infobox says it has 43,000. Is this a difference between city/commune population? If so, it should be explained. john k (talk) 18:11, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong information[edit]

The amphitheatre is not situated on the municipal territory of modern Capua. It was built in the ancient city of Capua, on which's ruins the modern Santa Maria Capua Vetere town stands. Compactforever (talk) 12:20, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The table with a list of dimensions of the largest amphitheatres of the Roman Empire appears to be wrong. The amphitheatre of Pompeii is larger and so should be in the table above Nîmes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattvick (talk • contribs) 09:55, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong history section[edit]

basically all the history text belongs to ancient Capua ( Santa Maria Capua Vetere). The new Capua (this page) was founded in the middle age (~841 AD )after the fall of Ancient Capua — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spartacusofcapua (talk • contribs) 12:33, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I confirm. I am one of the main contributors to the Italian wiki page of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. All of the Ancient History belongs to the city of Santa Maria Capua Vetere which is historically located where the Ancient Capua stood. The early history of new Capua is connected to the River Port Capua whose name Casilinum. The reference to the Campanian Amphitheater is also incorrect. It is located in Santa Maria Capua Vetere not in Capua. --Gius195 (talk) 22:56, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
