Copyright issue[edit]

The copyright issue cites text from our retired webpage which was based on text in Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana Winter 2000; 22(2). The webpage is retired and Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana is part of Public domain. Issues of this source can be found online for the public to access. Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana was an open journal that was published in print and is in process of being digitalized and is available to use: https://ocul-gue.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01OCUL_GUE/t4pdma/alma9953163981505154 - see the permisions for Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana under License Terms of Use under ejournals. I am the author of the article (or page) that has raised copyright questions. This article/page first appeared in the CHLA's official journal Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana in 2000 and was written by me in my capacity as a former President (and, in fact, the first President) of CHLA. It describes the Association's foundation and was published to celebrate our first 25 years. In my opinion, copyright resides with the Association (and I may also have signed it over to them at some point) but if I remain the copyright holder I give unlimited rights to it. The whole of the journal, whose title has changed, is apparently in the public domain. I hope this will solve the perceived copyright problem. If not please let me and others know. David S Crawford. Though copyright in the article "CHLA/ABSC 25 years on" which I wrote in 2000 and which was published in the Association's journal (Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana) Winter 2000; 22(2) probably resides with the Association, I, as the author, am happy to release any copyright I may hold to it under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA 3.0) and the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts). It should be noted that the Association has stated that the whole content of Bibliotheca Medica Canadiana (which has been and is being digitised) is in the public domain. David S.
