Original research[edit]

This is a very technical article with no references. It looks like it is either a copyright violation (it was uploaded anonymously), but I can find no matching source documents (there are copyright violatins the other way!), or it would seem to me to be an original paper. --David Woolley 11:01, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

CD36 expression[edit]

According to my knowledge, CD36 is not expressed on adult erythrocytes, as is mentioned in the article. It is however expressed on adult erythroid cells as they differentiate from mature BFU-E to reticulocytes [1,2] (and probably on 10-20% of fetal erythrocytes [1]).

CD36 clinical significance[edit]
