This article needs to be rewritten entirely. Not only is it unsourced, it's entirely wrong! Byzantine mosaics were produced throughout the empire for hundreds of years (roughly the 5th through 13th centuries ce) and the most significant and studied examples are NOT in Beirut or even in Lebanon, but in Ravenna, Istanbul, and other locations.
There is a separate article, Early Byzantine mosaics in the Middle East, that overlaps with this one, and the info from this article applies instead to that topic. Hiawog (talk) 16:26, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am doing my best to try to improve this article. Sourcing everything I can. I could use the help of anyone willing to help!
I have finished my rewrite! I hope this is helpful. I am sure it is not perfect but I think it is much improved with images, over lots of citations to over 20 references, and lots of links to other relevant articles.Hiawog (talk) 05:26, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
