Comments[edit]

OK, I have been updating the page. I will continue updating with information over the course of the summer. May add pictures of the buildings. Other than that, I think the article now has some substance to it. Anyone have any critique?

Stewart School[edit]

Was Stewart School a Jr. High or High School at one time? I attended 5th and 6th grades there in the early 70's and recall seeing a trophy case with High School type basketball trophies...I would swear they had "Arnold Jr. High" on them, but it's been so long I can't be sure (and of course that sounds rather strange since that area was never "Arnold").

-- Indeed, Stewart was not a just a High School, it was a school that housed all grades when Lower Burrell was that small. So in short, yes. User:mgw854

Stewart School was the former land of a farm (including much of the land the houses are on behind it) owned by the Stewart family. The school district bought it from the Stewarts and named it Stewart School. It used to be a middle school in the 40s or 50s.
