I removed claims that burpee races are used to settle disputes in prison, and a claim that a prisoner at pelican bay can do 1,000 in an hour. I can find no reference to these things anywhere on the internet accept where the source is this article. So why are they called Burpees? Is it anything to do with the general of the same name? I read an interview with an Aussie rules footballer where they asked him what his greatest desire was, and it was to "kill the @#^%& who invented Burpees".
