Bruce Dickinson early school years

hello I am new to this. I went top school with Bruce Dickinson and can state that the private school he attended after manor was Birkdale preparatory school in Sheffield and not sharrow. If you check it out sharrow is not a private school. I am unsure how I can verify this other than Ian G Walker the conservative candidate for Hallam in Sheffield was also at Birkdale with Bruce and afterwards Oundle. @Wayney57: Unfortunately personal knowledge is not acceptable on Wikipedia especially when adding information about living persons. All information added to Wikipedia must be verifiable and what you personally know is not verifiable, now if you can get third party reliable source(s) to support your information, then that's a different story. I'll leave you some links on your talk page that will be handy. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 22:29, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

Views on 9/11 attacks

Mrsteel4854 is trying to push a section into this article on Dickinson's opinion on the noise made by one of the aircraft in the 9/11 attacks. I've reverted him twice now, asserting that it's irrelevant since Dickinson is not an expert and his views on such matters have nothing to do with his notability. However, I'm looking for other opinions as this user is likely to continue pushing the material. Pinging Nerdtrap and FlightTime since you seem to be active watchers of this page over the last few months. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 20:47, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

Well, Dickinson undertook a career as a commercial pilot for Astraeus Airlines, which led to a number of media-reported ventures such as captaining Iron Maiden's converted charter aeroplane - the Ed Force One Following Astraeus' closure, he created his own aircraft maintenance and pilot training company in 2012, Cardiff Aviation. He may not have a PHD in Aeronautical Engineering, but he is in no way a lay person in this topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrsteel4854 (talkcontribs) 05:29, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

Still irrelevant. Unless you can produce sources that say Dickinson is an authority on matters related to 9/11, his offhand comments about how the jet sounded are no more than trivia. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 13:08, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
I agree with Spike Wilbury, Dickinson is an accomplished pilot and is the main pilot for Ed Force One, but he's not an expert on anything 9/11, at best he has an educated opinion. - FlightTime (open channel) 15:23, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

Honorary Citizen

Can we include recent developments: Bruce Dickinson was made honorary citizen of Sarajevo https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/iron-maiden-singer-bruce-dickinson-made-honorary-citizen-of-bosnias-capital . Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.179.74.27 (talk) 18:01, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

Hatnote is misleading

It appears all the hysteria about More Cowbell has unduly influenced what people know or don't know. The other Bruce Dickinson is a real person, not a fictional character. He's a retired A&R guy in the record industry, best known for his work at Sony Music in the 1990s. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 01:54, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
