Inflated sales.

Those Britney sales are too inflated. Don't you think that would be better to put sources more near to her certification sales?!

The more accurate are like that:

  • 1999 Baby One More Time – 32,000,000
  • 2000 Oops!… I Did It Again – 25,000,000
  • 2001 Britney – 16,000,000
  • 2003 In The Zone – 11,000,000
  • 2007 Blackout – 3,500,000
  • 2008 Circus – 5,600,000
  • 2011 Femme Fatale – 2,700,000
  • 2013 Britney Jean – 1,300,000

--88marcus (talk) 00:50, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

There are plenty of sources that say those numbers listed.--88marcus (talk) 00:53, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
Probably, I don't know exactly the chronology of her discography and album sales. But I wanna point the worldwide sales and don't think thing that she sold 100 million albums + 100 million singles (200 kk in total) according to her main article. This is inflate and maybe her worldwide figures are 150 million records. Chrishonduras (Diskussion) 17:33, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

'Glory' sales

Glory sales 110.000 is a joke. ONLY with Youtube streams (1500 streams = 1 album, acording to RIAA) have 100,000 albums. Make Me + Slumber Party = 150,000,000 streams. --Losigro (talk) 18:41, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

youre trolling

its very sad that britney's discography editor is someone that hate her and inflate her states

  • oops i did it again certified platinum in bpi last year yet no one change it

its certified multi platinum in sweden as well(its on the same source for lucky!)

  • i love rock & roll charted in sweden and peaked 15 and for some reason it shows it didnt chart at all
  • me against the music peaked in no.5 in sweden it it says 13
  • using a source from 2002 (we are starting 2019) for britney album sales (one year after it released) its ridiculous and not relevance...

there are alot of sources that says it has sold about 15 million albums

  • the source for the sales of the my prerogative compilation is very old and it show that it was written before the single collection

it cannot be 6 million when it sold about 5 million on the 4 biggest markets(us uk japan europe)alone.

  • gimme more and piece of me certified multi platinum and platinum in canada
  • stronger is gold in sweden as well(just look at the lucky source) and new zealand

hope youll pay attention to what i wrote and hope that you will do justice to britney spears page cause right now it seems like people use the ability to inflate singer that they dont like that much :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.64.124.150 (talk) 22:10, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

First week sales

I tend to support OnMyRadar (talk · contribs) and his/her edit summary about first-week sales usage. Not sure if there is or not a guideline about it on en-wiki, but it seems to me that false impression can be eliminated with a footnote such as: "first-week sales report for [insert album's name] according to [insert name]". I see these type of sales different compared to combined sales (streaming+pure sales), which doesn't include actual figures. --Apoxyomenus (talk) 18:58, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

"It Should Be Easy"

The link included in the article is a source—albeit bare in URL (a.k.a. not properly cited)—for an Italian radio add, which concludes its release as a single from the album. This is why its inclusion is appropriate; it was an Italy-only single. livelikemusic talk! 13:50, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

Yes, in "I Rise" the same page is cited as a source, so why it was removed from this page and Britney Jean? infsai (dyskusja) 22:23, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
If ISBE is gonna be considered a single, then Matches should be added as a single on Glory page too, since that Italian website also lists that song. The source should be used for both, or for none of them (I say none of them, 'cause they're not official singles, countless songs have been sent to radio in many places before, and they've never been considered official singles) Pokémon Spears (talk) 05:35, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Paragraph 2: "Spears made her chart debut in November 1998 with "...Baby One More Time", which attained global success and reached the top position of every major countries charts."

Should be "every major country's chart."
