BLP concerns[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia! I am Julia and I work at Diligent Corporation. Due to my COI, I'm posting this request here for editor assistance. Recent edits to Personal life do not appear to comply with Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy and reliable sources guideline.

The last two sentences of Personal life currently cite Maryland's Department of Assessments and Taxation and Redfin real estate listings. While I have not found rules that disqualify either of these sources specifically, I do question if they are the types of sources that should be used to create encyclopedic content, especially about private matters of a living person.

WP:BLPPRIVACY reads, "... articles should not include postal addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, or other contact information for living persons, although links to websites maintained by the subject are generally permitted." Additionally, WP:BLPPRIMARY reads, "Do not use trial transcripts and other court records, or other public documents, to support assertions about a living person. Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses."

WP:RSPRIMARY says, "Wikipedia articles should be based mainly on reliable secondary sources, i.e., a document or recording that relates or discusses information originally presented elsewhere." While I understand primary sources can be used for some information on Wikipedia, the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation website does not appear to apply, per "What counts as a reliable source?".

Given that these particular real estate transactions have not been written about by independent journalists, authors, or scholars, I would ask editors to remove the content per the policies and guidelines quoted above.

Diligent section updates[edit]

Hi again! It's Julia at Diligent Corporation. Due to my COI, I'm posting this request here for editor assistance in making some tweaks to update this article. In particular, I have a few suggestions for the Diligent subsection under Career.

  • Change: Since March 2015, Stafford has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Diligent Corporation, a company specializing in enterprise governance management software and one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies.
    • To: Since March 2015, Stafford has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Diligent Corporation, a modern governance company providing software as a service (SaaS) to support governance, risk, compliance (GRC), audit, and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG).[1][2][3]
    • Reason: This update provides more specifics about Diligent while also removing the promotional language "one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies". Additionally, this replaces a deadlink citation (Handelsblatt) with a source from The Sunday Times.
  • Change: Under Stafford's leadership, Diligent's annual revenues grew from $80 million in 2015 to $200 million in 2018, thus making it one of today's most successful SaaS companies.
    • To: Under Stafford's leadership, Diligent's annual revenues grew from $80 million in 2015 to $200 million in 2018 to $500 million as of 2022.[1][4][5]
    • Reason: This change adds an updated revenue figure based on a recent source from The Sunday Times and removes the promotional language "thus making it one of today's most successful SaaS companies".
  • Change: During his tenure, Diligent also launched Governance Cloud, an integrated and secure enterprise governance management solution.
    • To: During his tenure, Diligent acquired Galvanize,[6] and launched the Modern Leadership, an initiative to help organizations build more diverse and inclusive boards and leadership teams.[7]
    • Reason: This change adds initiatives that are directly attributed to Stafford in reliable sources Fortune and Forbes.
