Nomenclature[edit]

Are rapids the same as waterfalls? I'm thinking they aren't. USGS classes "falls" and "rapids" separately. Katr67 (talk) 06:35, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, I ask because you put this article in Category:Waterfalls of Oregon and also added the Oregon waterfalls template. I've already removed them until it is determined that rapids=waterfalls. Katr67 (talk) 19:04, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This picture is not Boxcar Rapids. This is Whitehorse rapids, some 20 miles upstream of Boxcar.
