The D.S.S. Form 1 Military Draft Registration Card of Booth Colman completed on June 29, 1942 contains the following information: Name: Robert Sanford Cohn, Place of Residence: 3310 - S.E. Oak St., Portland, Oregon, Date of Birth: March 8, 1923, Place of Birth: Portland, Oregon, Town of County: Multnomah, Name and Address of Person Who Will Always Know Your Address: Sol J. Cohn Portland, Oregon, Employer's Name and Address: Student, Place of Employment of Business: University of Washington Seattle Washington. Semper Fi! World War II service[edit]

Robert Sanford Cohn (Booth Colman) is listed in the "Register of Students" as attending army language school at the University of Michigan during the 1943-1944 class. However, there are no reliable sources found as of yet that state he was in a war zone during the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, "Category:United States army personnel of World War II" was removed until a defining role is established. FieldMarine (talk) 14:38, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Other than being listed in the "Register of Students" as attending army language school at the University of Michigan during the 1943-1944 class, there are no primary sources about his service in the army. Accordingly, "Category:United States army personnel" was removed until better references are included that establish his service in the army. Semper Fi! Update: The Michigan Alumnus, volume XLIX, number 1, October 3, 1942, page 299 stated, "Robert Cohn, '41, is a Second Lieutenant in the Signal Corps at Wright Field, Ohio." However, this is likely a different Robert Cohn, who was from New Jersey and was born in 1920. Otherwise, Colman would have been an 18 year old 2nd lieutenant. Semper Fi! On page 20 of Simian Scrolls, Issue 12, High Council: An Interview with Booth Colman by Jeff Krueger, it says, "I was inducted into the army I was sent to the University of Michigan where the Army had a Japanese language school.
