Comments[edit]

I take it that the major part of this article is wiki and NOT lifted wholesale from here!, which is absolutely word-for-word? Whichever it is, there are several glaring mistakes. The article starts with the statement "Bonnington is a small village ..." and then says (lower down) "There has never been a village ... - which is it? It has a parish church, and an old one at that, the usual sign of a village. The map [1] certainly doesn't give the impression of being that scattered either.

The reference above says that Bonnington and Aldington have separate parishes, their parish councils meet as one. Why cannot the article say that: and not "linked with". Where are the facts that say "only a small proportion" (how small?); "mainly inter-bred" (what is the conclusion from that?); "the majority of ... work in nearby towns or London"? And as for "healthy fondness for cider" (statistics?); and the industry (or commerce) of prostitution - there's only a hundred of them altogether, for heaven's sake! Finally Ford Madox Ford - he doesn't say anything like that on The Pedlar leaves the bar at Dymchurch - -read it!

This article deserves 1 out of 10 for its performance! Peter Shearan (talk) 15:16, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation page desirable[edit]

If any administrator would like to note, there is no disambiguation page for this Bonnington and Bonnington, Edinburgh. Since I don't know how to create one, perhaps someone else is willing to do it? Kim Traynor (talk) 23:32, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
