Fair use rationale for Image:Bobby Valentino Cover.jpg[edit]

Image:Bobby Valentino Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:18, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Left Def Jam?[edit]

According to DJBooth, Bobby V left Def Jam and is going Independant —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.4.162.31 (talk) 22:39, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Title of this page[edit]

There is now a Wikipedia entry for the original Bobby Valentino at Bobby Valentino (UK). I can't find out whether or not the legal dispute over the name has been resolved, but there surely must be a question mark over whether this page should continue to be called simply "Bobby Valentino" without some qualifying addition to the title. Yiptahooty (talk) 03:33, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Bobby Valentino (singer)"[edit]

Both men trading as Bobby Valentino are known as singers. Therefore it is genuinely misleading for a page entitled "Bobby Valentino (singer)" to re-direct to one rather than the other. Depending on the continued existence (or result) of the legal dispute between the two over rights to use the name "Bobby Valentino", it may also be legally unwise.

You are quite right Wikipedia is now infringing the original Bobby Valentino's trademarks. Bobby Wilson has now changed his name to Bobby V because of legal action in the UK and the USA. You have probably noticed that the most recent album "The Rebirth" is credited to Bobby V. This page should now be removed or re-named and re-written. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RNofficer (talkcontribs) 02:11, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation page[edit]

Shouldn't there be one? I'm new to this.

Yiptahooty (talk) 23:04, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There should definitely be a disambiguation page, but I'm not sure how to rename the articles. Here are the possibilities:

Or

Thoughts? DiverseMentality 20:50, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd go for the second one, changing "singer" to "musician". I'll do it now. Holiday56 (talk) 13:32, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

birthday[edit]

maybe i'm missing something here, but if his birthdate is 27 february and 14 february is valentine's day--how is it that he's named valentino for being born on valentine's day —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.190.191.114 (talk) 17:57, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He was expected to be born on Valentine's Day, but was born thirteen days later. DiverseMentality 19:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stage name[edit]

Should the article be moved to Bobby V? It seems Valentino has changed his stage name simply to "Bobby V". The cover of his latest album, The Rebirth, credits him as Bobby V. So does this search on Amazon.com and on Billboard. Thoughts? — Σxplicit 21:32, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

redirect[edit]

why would "bobby valentine" redirect to this page? i have no idea who this person is, and it seems his name is in no way "bobby valentine", and yet there is another notable article named "bobby valentine"

that redirect should be deleted —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.247.54.64 (talk) 03:15, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Not moved no rationale per BarrelProof Mike Cline (talk) 17:44, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

– This request is actually about the English singer by the way (the two singers have the same talk page for some reason), plus the American singer isn't called Bobby Valentino anymore. --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 04:22, 11 May 2015 (UTC) Unreal7 (talk) 19:02, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Are you suggesting that we move the American singer to Bonny Valentino despite the fact that he no longer goes by that name or is this a mistake and what you meant was for the English singer to be moved to Bobby Valentino?--69.157.253.102 (talk) 20:37, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
English singer, as the American one is no longer called Bobby Valentino. Unreal7 (talk) 10:03, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This needs to be changed then since the current request is asking for the American singer to be moved to Bobby Valentino. Personally I believe that this should be closed an a new one made at Bobby Valentino (British musician).--67.68.30.244 (talk) 04:08, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
