Does he remain the speaker for now? I couldn't find any info on this however I believe he is. Timeshift 18:28, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He's not. The current Speaker is Jack Snelling. Bob is just a standard Member now. Gay Thompson is currently the Deputy. Yay unto the Chicken 05:13, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed two unverifiable statements, they could go back in if there is a reference.115.128.27.82 (talk) 12:51, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Bob Such became a back bencher because as John Olsen allegedly said, "I have to look after the people who put me here"
  • Bob Such drew praise from his electorate by giving them surveys on which party he should support.

Date of death[edit]

Everything i've read says he died on 11 October, not 10 October. I've made the correction. Timeshift (talk) 02:50, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As I said on your talk page, I think the ABC article I based that on was erroneous so no argument from me. The Drover's Wife (talk) 06:29, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Here we go, definitive. Timeshift (talk) 06:33, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Father of the house[edit]

Timeshift, I agree this should be included, but where? Definitely doesn't belong under illness and death, but under political career. I personally don't think it is worth its own section, so either under "Speaker" (which could change title?) as it is another 'senior' role, or else it could go at end of 2010 election as that is where it fits chronologically? How about now? Timeshift (talk) 17:04, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that works! Melcous (talk) 17:14, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
