Confusion[edit]

No - this is not true. BUCs are used in the transmit link of (for example) satellite communications systems. LNBs are used at the receive stations. For satellite TV there are very many receivers, each with their own LNB mounted close to the satellite dish. David Martland (talk) 10:30, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this sentence is a bit confusing. I think it's trying to point out that one doesn't work without the other. Analogous to a financial transaction needs both a buyer and a seller, although they don't need to be physically close to each other.
