let's face it, any good teacher will use a range of techniques to get an idea across to learners. So for blended learning, read good practice. this is supposed to describe education, and it includes "sentences" such as, "Further to this blended learning can be facilitated through the use of 'blended' virtual and physical resources."

huh?

and the opener: "Blended learning can be defined as the combination of multiple approaches to pedagogy or teaching." really? then that's what it is — no "can be defined as" weaseling. ugh. pedagogy or teaching? yeah.

"The concept of blended learning has particular relevance to language learning (see point 8 below)." point 8, huh?

"Blended Learning is learning that is facilitated by the effective combination of different modes of delivery, models of teaching and styles of learning, and founded on transparent communication amongst all parties involved with a course." wow. i feel so smart now. thank god that "blended learning" includes "transparent communication"! ROFLMAO

this article, if not the concept as well, is riddled with garbage speak. suggested reading: "Objective considerations of contemporary phenomena compel the conclusion that success or failure in competitive activities exhibits no tendency to be commensurate with innate capacity, but that a considerable element of the unpredictable must invariably be taken into account." great stuff, huh? try speaking plainly. works wonders. of course, then this article wouldn't exist, since the title alone is mush-mouth malarkey. any supposed educator spouting this crap should be out on the street not writing encyclopedia articles. If it encourages people to try new ways of engaging learners, instead of churning out the usual, who cares what it's called an whether some people are a bit melifluous about it.

I have to agree with the vitriolic comments above, though I find it hard to even begin evaluating the content obscured in the cloak of a God-awful, perhaps machine-made, translation (my guess: from German). Page organization

This page still needs a lot of help. "Blended learning" can have so many levels or meanings in actual use it could be a Disambiguation page. My bit was to give a short introduction, create some more subheadings, delete some opinion and add some links. Sure seems as if there is a strong undercurrent of preaching going on without much substance ("Encyclopedic content must be verifiable", ie where is the data). But that is just my opinion and I am passionate about a short introductory paragraph on pages and the use of internal links to reduce rambling (my major failing) :) Best to all --Rcollman (talk) 20:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

This article states that Paul Myers coined the term, yet a search on Google showed that Lee Klepinger also claimed to have done it? Who actually coined the term?
