Quick change[edit]

I made a quick mention in the opening paragraph regarding his exceptional fastball, as most fans know him best for this reason. He routinely is at 100 MPH, and I have personally see him go as high as 102 (although it may have not been official JUGS radar gun, it is still impressive to see that number). -- Ubergenius 18:37, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NLCS Playoffs[edit]

Too Quick[edit]

Whoever put Wagner as a Red Sox player before a deal was made with the Mets obviously doesn't know anything about waivers. The Mets don't have to trade him. They can pull him back and keep him on the major league roster. IMO, he will probably be dealt, but at least wait until it's official to change his wikipedia page. Rare WHIP achievement[edit]

while he was about 100 innings off to be in all the offical stats books Billy Wagner is one of the few pitchers to have a career WHIP below 1 (while playing for a long time in the league) and he was the first to do so since the early 1900s. Well it goes with the K/9 stat that is mentioned several times on the page and when they were talking about his HOF chances the WHIP was mentioned as it is very rare for a pitcher in 800+ IP to have a WHIP below 1 2601:2C4:C900:460:2022:3439:25F0:E33F (talk) 05:35, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
