Death[edit]

Please note, the article says he died in two different places. I don't know which is correct or I'd fix it myself. Tex 03:29, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth[edit]

First line has his DOB in June, the right side summary shows the correct month which is April —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.248.96 (talk) 03:51, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Missing info[edit]

Would the following facts be worth adding? He was censored and criticised for the sexual nature of his early shows until his father advised him to clean them up. He was declared bankrupt during the seventies and cleared it by recording an album of his old songs. He also owned several racehorses, one of which became a noted flat-racer.(83.13.39.98 (talk) 19:48, 27 December 2007 (UTC))[reply]

If you can provide reliable sources to prove those things happened. Jim Michael (talk) 23:29, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Today, 17th August 2012, I discovered 'Billy Fury Way' in West Hampstead, London. No reference in this article to this tribute or the reason - did he live in the area at some point? I took a few iPhone photos - happy to offer them to Wikipedia in order to enhance this article - on a no-fee basis, of course. Davedwards1954 (talk) 19:13, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I regularly come past that alleyway. I have added a few words about it. 15:45, 16 November 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RedTomato (talkcontribs)

Fair use rationale for Image:Lastnightidreamt.jpg[edit]

Image:Lastnightidreamt.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 22:58, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality?[edit]

Someone tagged the section "UK chart and film success" as "neutrality disputed" eight or nine months ago (and forgot the "section" parameter), but neglected to start the discussion thereof. On what basis is the neutrality disputed, and by whom?

Either this should be properly discussed, or the notice should be removed. I suggest that the latter be done if a month has passed and there is no further discussion. -- 92.40.178.206 (talk) 12:35, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to the tag's template, this tag is for articles only — it doesn't have a "section" parameter, as some tags do. The correct tag here is "POV-Section", not "POV" as used.
Also, the template has the following usage note:
"The editor placing this template in an article should [I think that ought to be "must"] promptly begin a discussion on the article's talk page. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant, then this tag may be removed by any editor."
I've changed the tag to the correct one. -- 92.40.178.206 (talk) 13:03, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gravestone[edit]

The 'His Wondrous Story' DVD shows quite an elaborate gravestone. It would be good to have a picture of it in article. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:27, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Fury Way - road named after him in Camden, London[edit]

I have added the following text. There are some nice photos in the linked references, which are to the local papers of record. RedTomato (talk) 16:10, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In 2010 Camden Council, London, named a small formerly nameless road Billy Fury Way in his honour. [11] He had recorded at the nearby Decca Studios. The alleyway was decorated with a large mural of his face and the mural was unveiled and blessed on Friday July 29th 2011. [12]. It is next to West Hampstead Tube station, the main transport complex for the area.

Half Way to Paradise documentary.[edit]

According to the BBC's official Radio Times listing archive (BBC Genome), this was an episode of the UK series Omnibus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnibus_(UK_TV_series) ) & scheduled to be broadcast on BBC One, 12 October 1998. "Billy Fury - Half Way to Paradise Forty years ago, 17-year-old Billy Fury made his stage debut at the Essoldo, Birkenhead.
