Price error

Billabong Plane

Image:Billabong Logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Merger proposal

Someone already proposed merging Billabong (swimwear) into this article, but no discussion was initiated. I support that proposition, and also suggest that Billabong XXL, the surfing competition that the company sponspers, also be merged into this article. Both the swimwear and the competition's notability are of questionable notability by themselves. In addition, Billabong (clothing), at this time, is a relativly small article and can handle the merging of the two articles. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 01:11, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Team?

I have developed the Team section so that the entire Surf team is shown—together with citations—and I have inserted an expansion tag, as the other teams need to be added (skate, womens, etc.)--Soulparadox (talk) 03:07, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

I saw that but I noticed it wasn't explained. I don't know what the team is for or how it works. Its just a list at the moment with no broader meaning. I still think the article needs a sentence or two to explain what kind of team it is. - Shiftchange (talk) 03:22, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

It is usual practice for surf and skateboard companies to sponsor a team of riders who play an ambassador-like role for both the brand and the lifestyle that is being promoted. This information is probably most suited to the section of the article that describes the company or its history.--Soulparadox (talk) 04:52, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
