Actual size of wilderness[edit]

The Vermont Wilderness Act of 1984 and the New England Wilderness Act of 2006 set aside a combined area of 6,767 acres (2,739 ha) but Wilderness Connect claims that the Big Branch Wilderness consists of 6,725 acres (2,722 ha).
