But banana bond chiefly refers to Three-center two-electron bond as in Diborane, doesn't it? Sourabh.khot (talk) 14:59, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

I just read an older version (see the section "Double and triple bonds"[1] which contains some history of the double/triple bond and Pauling and Hückels different explantions. I think it sounds interesting, any good reason why it was removed? Christian75 (talk) 14:48, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, now I see it was moved to another article[2] - @Officer781: - which article did you move it to? Christian75 (talk) 14:50, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's stated there in the section. See sigma-pi model. I moved it because there is a similar split in description for lone pairs, which cannot be described by the article "bend bond" as well, they're not bonds.--Officer781 (talk) 15:28, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks :-) Christian75 (talk) 15:44, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
