Hi,

Seems like the link to Harmonic Mixing is broken - it should point to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmonic_mixing Since I am affiliated with tagtraum industries, I figure somebody else may want to fix this.

Also, I'd like to suggest phrasing the entry a little bit differently. Currently it's:

"The current version supports Harmonic Mixing and Beatmixing."

It really should be something like:

"The current version supports Harmonic Mixing through automatic key detection and Beatmixing through BPM detection."

Reason: beaTunes is not a mixing tool, it merely calculates data (key/bpm) that help DJs when mixing.

If one wanted to expand this article one could categorize beaTunes as a music library management tool. It does multiple things:

- cleanup music meta data (typos, wrong genre, etc.) - lookup music meta data (using acoustic fingerprint technology) - compute music meta data (key, BPM) - find songs that match in multiple meta data categories and thus assists when building playlists.

I am available for more information, if desired.

Unorphan me![edit]

Hi!

I am glad somebody fixed that broken link to harmonic mixing. Thanks!

Since hardly any links point towards this article, I'd like to suggest that the link on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Unique_IDentifier that currently goes to the beaTunes website, should now go to this page. Also it would probably not be a bad idea to add links to the harmonic mixing and the beatmixing pages.
