Union victory[edit]

I have read about this engagement, in the accounts I studied, they say the rebels repelled the union forces but then retreated after the battle was over, resulting in a tactical Confederate victory and a Union strategic victory. Does anyone else have any information that can confirm the accounts I have studied? --Az81964444 (talk) 22:12, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to square with the account in the article. One might note that the USA force achieved their goal of continuing to harass the CSA force, and the CSA force did not in this instance achieve their goal of recuperating after the battle at Glorieta Pass.
