Baitada is consider as the people of Baitadi and Darchula districts. Baitadi is one of the District of Nepal that fall on the Mahakali Zone of Nepal, but in the past history Baitadi District was divided to form to different Baitadi and Darchula Districts. Therefore Baitada is consider as the people of Baitadi and Darchula districts. Baitada people also living in villages close to Indo-Nepal boarder of Pithoraghar district and different parts of Far western region of Nepal. Dialects spoken and culture observed here are similar to the Kumauni. Some in Nepal wants to place Baitada or Baitadeli into Nepali language some others consider it as a independent language and called Dotiyali language but the ground reality it is very different from Nepali. As well as it is more close to kumauni than Dotiyali dialect.
