CSD A7 / speedy deletion contested[edit]

Per WP:CSD: "to avoid speedy deletion an article does not have to prove that its subject is notable, just give a reasonable indication of why it might be notable." This article is notable in my view as a stub for expansion regarding a large American Jewish fraternal organization (the most famous of which is B'nai B'rith). These organizations were an important part of American Jewish life, immigrant life, in the 19-20th Century and provided social as well as social welfare functions in their communities. (See: http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=355&letter=F). Their official website is http://www.brithsholom.info

This article should be expanded but at this point is merely a stub. Sincerely, Kaisershatner (talk) 12:57, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
