"It is requested that semi-protected article at Pakistan occupied Kashmir be created." Sorry, we don't use value-laden labels. "Occupied" is such a label. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 13:42, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Shared ethnicity

The people of AJK share ethnicity with Northern Punjab as well as Hindkowan region of KPK especially in the Muzaraffabad and Neelum Districts. Add the detail of Hindkowan region as well. I am not able to add it. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eye987butt (talkcontribs)

Pahari-Rajput

Please change to Raja. The link provided is misleading. Azad Kashmiris speak a dialect of potohari punjabi which has a few different words and is reffered to as the pahari dialect. Pahari literally means 'hill/mountain'. The link provided is misleadingly trying to link himachal language which is distinct but also named pahari. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gmaverick2k (talkcontribs) 06:28, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Ah yes. The Punjabi variety of Azad Kashmir is indeed known as "Pahari" (although I don't remember whether the name applies to a specific regional dialect or to the whole bunch). But that name is ambiguous and it is most often used for the Pahari languages, which is a different group altogether, as rightly pointed out by Gmaverick2k. As a temporary measure, I'm delinking the term from the article, and removing the infobox entry (as Pahari is subsumed under Pahari–Pothwari). At the moment I'm not sure if Pothwari or Mirpur Punjabi is a better target (the two articles will probably need to be merged again) and in the long run it's definitely best to explore the sources and have the text clarify the precise extent of the various language names. – Uanfala 10:36, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

This page relating to Azad Kashmir has been errorneously described Azad Kashmir as an administrative territory of Pakistan which in fact has been illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947 with the help of tribal militias. The 1947's Pakistani invasion totally ignored the Instrument of Accession(link has been provide at the end of the editing plea) signed by Maharaja Hari Singh and government of India according to which the then princely ruler of state of Jammu and Kashmir acceded the whole state of Jammu and Kashmir to India but in a complete disregard of this Pakistan sponsored tribal militias invaded and illegally occupied the Gilgit Baltistan region and Mirpur Muzaffarabad belt (nowadays also known as Azad Kashmir) of state of J&K with a clear intention of merging it with Pakistan. After this series of events, the then government of India headed by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru approached the United Nations seeking immediate withrawal of Pakistani militia and troops from Gilgit Baltistan and Mirpur Muzaffarabd belt, acknowleding India's request United Nations Security Council unaninmously passed a resolution(link has been provided at the end of editing plea) which clearly stated the unconditional withdrawal of Pakistani forces from the occupied Indian territory Link for Instrument of Accession www.jklaw.nic.in Link for U.N.S.C. resolution on Kashmir www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/missions/unmogip/documents.shtml 14.140.110.140 (talk) 11:20, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

In the article relating to Azad Kashmir a grave factual error has been committed by describing the Azad Kashmir as an Pakistan administered territory which in fact is an integral part of Republic of India and has been illegally and unlawfully occupied and colonised by Pakistan since 1947. The occupation is in a clear violation of Instrument of Accession(link has been provided at the end of edit request) signed by Maharaja Hari Singh(the then princely ruler of state of Jammu and Kashmir) and government of India which acceded the whole state of Jammu and Kashmir to India. Infuriated by this Pakistan tried to annex and merge the whole state of Jammu and Kashmir in it through the means of sponsored tribal militia, backed by Pakistani Army's regular units. During the initial phase of invasion of Pakistan sponsored militias were able to occupy the Gilgit Baltistan region and Mirpur Muzaffarbad belt of state of Jammu and Kashmir. As a retaliation to Pakistani aggression the then government of India headed by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru moved to United Nations seeking immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Pakistan sponsored militia from occupied Indian territory. United Nations Security Council (U.N.S.C.) addressing India's legitimate concern and request unaninmously passed a resolution(link has been provided at the end of edit request) on Jammu and Kashmir which clearly stated the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Pakistani Forces from the occupied Indian territory. But to this day U.N.S.C. resolution has not been enforced and Pakistan is still in occupation of above mentioned Indian territory. So a the end of the request I appeal to the Wikipedia to make the corrections as early as possible.
