Untitled[edit]

I checked the announcement article on IGN, it says that this game will be for Wii, but does not says anything about others platforms, why does this article claims that this game will be available in every other console? I’ve the game list of those consoles and they don’t mention this title (64.32.116.18 02:21, 27 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

GameFAQS lists it for all the consoles, not just the Wii. Is it possible that it lists Avatar as a launch title, since I'm pretty sure it is? If not, then there is a definate discrepency --Hawk405359 02:38, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Which console is This Game the best on out of the 3 current gen?

Haru?[edit]

Why would you be playing as Haru? He is a very minor character in the story so far. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to be playing as Toph instead? She is the main Earthbender of the story. Also, I wonder if they plan to implement playing as the Fire Nation. As in playing as Zuko, The Blue Spirit, General Iroh, etc. That would make it more exciting for me personally.

I assume it's because the game starts at the beginning of the series, and may only cover Season 1. Toph is not introduced until Season 2, but they wanted a playable Earthbender anyway, and Haru makes more sense than, say, King Bumi, the only other notable Earthbender of Season 1. As for Firebenders, no word yet, but if they go out of their way to change the story to include Earthbending, I would hope they would include Firebending as well. The Story Takes place between Season 1 and Season 2 so Toph wouldn't be in the gang yet. Haru joins the team after the Earthbending camp he and his father are training at is attack by the Maker's machines, and one of his friends goes missing as a result.--User:Gundamdbz69 01:01, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It might be worth noting that on the main page, that this game was developed before it became known Toph would be the Earthbender on the Avatar's team, so the developers chose an Earthbender who was a guest star in Season 1 to fill the slot. As for Firebenders, it should be obvious from a mile away that Zuko would join the Avatar's team for Season 3 to teach him firebending. But, again, the game was developed before his little time in exile with his uncle, thus it wouldn't have been apparent at the time they were developing this game. --Thirdmoon 23:35, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in the Game Boy Advance version, you don't even get to control Haru. He only helps you out in Omashu for one thing, and that's it. Sorta disappointing... [not to mention that the game only takes about 3 hrs :(] --Tryforceful 23:53, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Overview..., replacing it with Plot[edit]

This is an encyclopedia, not a gamefaqs review. It's okay to get things from gamefaqs, but make sure it actually fits in an encyclopedia.

I enter the basics of the plot but as I rushed through the game I miss some of the details to "Flesh" it out.

avatar the charge a game for the gamecube, Nintendo D, XBox, mail 2 of the game, progress Gameboy, and Nintendo release Wii. The game follows Aang, cat macaw, Sokka, and Haru since they fight by the nations and examine old and new surroundings. The game premium ring 11 Oktober..2006 to several prices dependent on your console.

Developers[edit]

THQ didn't develop the entire series. THQ outsourced at least the GBA version, which was done by Halfbrick Studios (I should know, I'm an employee of the company, http://www.halfbrick.com/)

Different versions[edit]

Reception[edit]

Whoever put it on their obviously did a lot of work so I'm reluctant to just callously delete it. So, could ya mind improving it a bit?

Like it or not, this is Wikipedia, and as annoying as it is, they’re big on sourcing. As I’ve personally been acquainted with, you can’t source “fan feedback”. However, even with that, I kept the fan opinions in mind when writing this thing (like I said, not a big fan of the sourcing thing either), but they pretty much had the same opinion as the reviewers: The game was pretty mediocre and could’ve been a whole lot better, but it wasn’t all that bad compared to most license games and had the word Avatar on the front.

“All it needs to say is it didn’t review well but has sold well.” Are you honestly kidding me with that? There’s a fine line between summarizing multiple different aspects, and a sentence. With that kinda “description”, the first thing that comes to mind is, “Why?” Seriously, was it the story, the gameplay, the graphics, specific adaptations what? The only real issue here is that the details that come with it aren’t very pleasing to the ear. Whether you admit it or not, if the reviews for the game had been the exact opposite and overwhelmingly positive, you’d have no problem with me filling up this page with a good 6-14 paragraphs glorifying each and every miniscule aspect of the game.

My take one the whole thing, just take it in stride. I’m sure it hurts (somehow) to have the good name of this show horrifically tarnished with this mean-spirited summary (sarcasm), but hey, the next one will be better. ;) Speaking of which, have ya seen the cover?- [1] Father's Wish II 23 July 2007

New cover uploaded[edit]

The existing version was in too high a resolution to be eligible for fair use, and the wikimedia scaling algorithms also tend to make the image a bit fuzzy when scaling. Additionally, there was (barely noticeable) watermarking on the existing version. I found a version without watermarking and scaled it down to 256px. This is the size that best fits the infobox, as the margins are then the same size, so please don't change it without a very good reason. Nintendo Wii wrong release date?[edit]

I'm not sure how I would go about confirming this, but I think the release date is wrong. It's North American release listed as November 13th, 2006 when the Wii was released on the 19th. How did this game get released before the Wii got released? A few games listed as launch titles in Wikipedia also share similar strangeness (Call of Duty 3 is listed as being released on the 14th), but that's not relevant to this game.
