Dubious[edit]

During World War I, the Russian army successfully counterattacked the German army across Augustów in 1914.

I tagged this with dubious not because I think it's entirely untrue. It needs a cite (and rephrasing: you attack across a river or canal but not a city) but it may very well have some basis in reality. On the other hand, the Russian front of WWI was a debacle and any news of Russian success or forward movement needs to be put in perspective. Was this a successful salient that got bottled up? or was it really a stronghold that remained under Russian control until the revolution and the Bolshevik peace? — LlywelynII 14:17, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
