1) The description "by far the most comprehensive repository of knowledge about the biology of the birds of North America" could be disputed with the publication of Birds of North America.

2) The series was reprinted by Dover, which seems worthy of mention.

3) The text of the series is available on-line at birdzilla.com, though it can be a bit hard to find there. A pointer seems appropriate.
