Arsi Clan???[edit]

This would be an insult to the Arsi, most probably the largest group of Oromo. Arsi Oromo is composed of hundreds of clans!!!!— Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.55.180.8 (talk) 07:57, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Concern over differentiation[edit]

The article seems to differentiate between Oromo and Arsi Oromo as though they were two differenth ethnicities. Arsi is a subgroup within the Oromo people and not a seperate ethnicity. It is kind of misleading. LencaOromo (talk) 08:58, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image used in article not representative.[edit]

While the bead crown worn by the woman depicted in the photo by user Abrasax123 resembles other availible photos of Oromo bead headwear, the term used to describe it, "Qarma crown," can be found nowhere else on the English speaking internet. Her clothing does not resemble other pictures of Oromo attire availible on wikipedia and elsewhere.

More importantly, I am almost certain that the light skinned woman in the picture is not Arsi/Oromo. She is a white woman.

This image should probably get deleted, but I'll leave that to a more experienced editor as I'm not aware of the policy around that. 142.112.183.63 (talk) 05:04, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
