Traditionally a male given name[edit]

It bears observation- borne out by the fact that every single individual's article linked from here is male- that it is only recently that the name has become more popular as a girls' name, as is the case with numerous others due to whatever fashion or other dictates these things. It's pointless simply to observe it's a "unisex name" when it's only NOW that girls are being given the name, as previously mentioned, indicated by the fact that all notable/ adult Arlos are evidently male. A generation from now that's not unlikely to have changed, of course.
