Accidental Killers?[edit]

Ms Francis is listed in the catagory "accidental killers" but there's no mention of any incident in the article. Can someone explain? —Preceding unsigned comment added by HillbillyProfane (talkcontribs) 07:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arlene was indirectly responsible for two persons' deaths. Her housekeeper was airing out her Manhattan apartment and a had propped the window open with a dumbbell, which somehow became dislodged and tumbled down several stories to the street, striking a pedestrian and killing him. Francis also lost control of her car during bad weather and struck another motorist, instantly killing him. These events were at one time listed in the article, and should be restored. Not sure why they were removed, as they are undisputed, they did happen, and are rather significant events in her life. --134.174.110.7 (talk) 19:32, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fashion[edit]

Arlene's clean but fashion conscious appearance was an important part of her image. If the wording I have added is not sufficient, I'll try to rework it, or if you wish add something, but I think her designer quote is pertinent to an important side of her character. The issue isn't the value of the fashion image... the issue is how that quote has to do with Arlene Francis. It doesn't seem to be written by Arlene Francis, and the subject of the quote is Kitty Carlisle. I still don't see how the quote relates to her. It doesn't mention her name anywhere in the article you have sourced. TheHYPO 05:47, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that, I was working too late and got my wires crossed. Doc 03:44, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Personal life" unbalanced.[edit]

There's much more on her first marriage than her second - contrasting with their lengths. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.127.106.170 (talk) 20:40, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

blatant timeline contradiction ...REDUX[edit]

She supposedly appeared in the Broadway production "La Gringa in 1928", yet in 1932 her only acting experience had been in a school play. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.127.106.170 (talk) 20:45, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Her autobiography is the main source here. It doesn't mention "La Gringa." It says that when a movie studio cast her in "Murders In The Rue Morgue," her only acting experience was the school play. I am going to try to clarify this by changing the article slightly. If anyone can do it better, please go ahead. If you want to consult the autobiography, you can find a library copy without too much trouble. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.166.33.77 (talk) 23:07, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GOOD for us! ..to spot contradictory statements in our Wp narrative. BAD for us!! ..to leave same in place for nearly seven years. If someone can produce a source for ..she-was-acting-on-Broadway-by-year-1928.., then please do so; 'til then let's quit irritating the poor reader and go with the only sourced material we have (her own memoir), which says otherwise.//Jbeans (talk) 13:42, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mercury Theater[edit]

I don't have much info, but Arlene Francis was in the Mercury Theater production of 'Around the World in 80 Days' and interviewed in a Leonard Maltin radio presentation, 'Theater of the Imagination' about her experiences in the Mercury Theater. I think I found both at www.archive.org. Jtyroler (talk) 06:33, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Color of her hair?[edit]

Inasmuch as all of the footage I've seen of her is in monochrome, it's hard to tell if she was naturally red-headed. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance! [signed] FLORIDA BRYAN — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:3:1000:5B1:9227:E4FF:FEF0:BBDE (talk) 06:01, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography/Theatre Credits[edit]

Is there any chance someone could compile a list of her Theatre credits and filmography? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2406:E007:2059:1:8838:D4ED:ABF2:5F9E (talk) 01:56, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
