Possible Dual Bronze?[edit]

The 1983 SEA Games technical record lists two third place positions for 60M women's event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Channico (talkcontribs) 07:50, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicts in the Golden Moments Book with other records[edit]

Golden Moments book is missing the 1985 list of winners.

In the Golden Momennts book, 1983 Bronze 30M states it is Tatang Budiman with 663, this conflicts with the SEA Games technical record. Correct bronze winner is Vallop Pottaya (666) as confirmed in technical record.

In the Golden Moments book, 1997 Bronze Medal Men's 50M winner is spelt as Raffy Recto.

Individual overall for the Golden Moments book lists Michael Focundo (PHI) as bronze medal winner with 2422.

Women's Silver and Bronze is listed in the book as Sam Tan and Amornrat Kaewbaidhoon but this conflicts with newspaper reports that Carla Ramos won silver on countback and Sam Tan won the bronze instead: http://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/newspapers/Digitised/Article/straitstimes19790927-1.2.101.9.aspx

50M women's lists Joanne Chan as scoring 608 points.

1981 30M women's records silver and bronze conflict with the newspaper and official report. Assume the official report is correct.

The information for the scores in 1979 are pretty sketchy as not all the final scores were reported in The Straits Times. Men's team final score cannot be located.

Would need to corroborate and fill in the gaps from other archive sources like newspapers from Malaysia or Indonesia.

Results of 1977 games also in question as Joe Dorai's 1979 article "By Royal Command" mentions that Carlos Santos Jr. won 4 golds. (But I think that this is wrongly reported as another article in The New Straits Times mentions that Philippines only won 6 golds in 1977 (of which 4 were won by women).

1979 Team results are not reported in the Straits Times at all.

Results of 1989 cannot be verified as the standings are based on the second last day of shooting as reported in the Straits Times on 26 August 1989. The Straits Times does not report the final score on the 27th of August. Results are extrapolated. However, a better source would be another newspaper from Malaysia or Philippines on 26th or 27th August to report the actual final results.
