a SINGLE bee... more info. please!!![edit]

Ok, so the main problem is that this bee appears to be only identified by a single bee specimen found in northern Ukraine, mmm, you can see why there are doubts about its actual existence.

So, we need additional accounts of sightings and its original finding, it could just be that there is very little info. on it on the web, with the info. being in a paper or two not published, BUT everyone knows you can't get honey bees in the steppe (traditionally a treeless area), we also know how dominant the A. m. mellifera is north and east of this region, so I too have my doubts, but hopefully more info. will come along.
