What are they?[edit]

In a fit of foolishness and desire to improve the article, I called these things dinosaurs. Somebody fixed that. Thanks. The lead didn't point out that they are extinct. I fixed that. Skyrocket654 (talk) 03:03, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non-mammalian?[edit]

The article calls them “non-mammalian therapsids”. This is somewhat misleading. After all, what counts as a mammal? The crown group? The pan-group? (All Synapsids.) Or something in between? There is no single point in evolution where Synapsids go from non-mammal to mammal. After all, Castorocauda et al. are often called mammals even though they are not crown mammals.--Solomonfromfinland (talk) 22:09, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
