Speedy delete?[edit]

I cleaned up this page a bit, and I'm not sure whether it meets speedy deletion guidelines. According to WP:BIO, "Competitors who have played or competed at the highest level in amateur sports" are eligible. This page may fit that definition. --Bretticus2002 14:55, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably right, but I noticed that it was an autobiographical page which was why I tagged it for speedy delete. I'm not sure whether that was the right thing to do though. Any ideas on this? Paul20070 15:10, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PS:I also left a message on the user's talk page suggesting that she shouldn't write articles about herself.
I noticed that, and I wasn't quite sure either. I felt that since it was questionable, speedy delete might not be the best option. Perhaps a more experienced editor could offer an opinion? --Bretticus2002 15:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds ok. I'll add the page to my watchlist for a while and keep an eye on it. If nobody comes along in a few days or so though, I might open an afd discussion on the page as these debates usually attract the attention of experienced editors. Cheers Paul20070 15:42, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Updates to come shortly[edit]

In the next few days I expect to totally rototill this page. O'Shea has had a distinguished career since she created this autobiographical stub, and according to the IBSF Media Guide for today's race at Altenberg, she has returned to World Cup competition (taking Katie Uhlaender's spot on the squad). Plenty of authoritative, published sources are now available. 121a0012 (talk) 05:46, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
