Untitled[edit]

I debated whether to make this a single article, or to break it into two, one for each man. The critical literature seems to offer significantly more references to the two men together, as Crooke and Cooke, than separately; I followed that lead. (Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy....) But I can make separate articles for each man, if people think that's the better course. Ugajin 11:23, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

William and Elizabeth Crooke?[edit]

The life of William seems to have more information. The ODNB says that he was the nephew of Andrew and he lived between 1639 and 1694. He prob. married Elizabeth Crooke and she operated the printing biz till 1696 when she died. Victuallers (talk) 17:58, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
