"silver jubilee"?[edit]

The lede says this was a "silver jubilee" movie--what does that mean in this context? The only meaning of "silver jubilee" I'm aware of is the 25th anniversary of something. If that's the case here, it's the 25th anniversary of what? Chuck (talk) 01:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was Ajith's 25th movie.
Ajith fell in love with Shalini after co-starring with her in this movie; later they got married. So, the film was marketed as Shalini's last film. However, Mani Ratnam's movie Alaipayuthey, starring Madhavan as the hero, was Shalini's last movie.
The film was later remade into Telugu in 2004 as Leela Mahal Centre starring Aryan Rajesh and Sada.
