There is a version missing from the list of "other versions." It was in a cartoon I saw once as a child - maybe Looney Tunes or Hanna Barbera. A parody of wildlife documentaries - when the subject was a bluebird, and the narrator instructed the viewers to listen to its song, he sang "Am I Blue?" in a guttural voice.
