Comment[edit]

this content is very US-centric. ever heard of virt-x for example?195.157.53.1 12:47, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I suggest that both Electronic trade matching and Crossing network be merged into this article as sections in examples of ATSs. Any objections? The Sound and the Fury (talk) 23:14, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think they are best kept separate for the terms themselves meet WP:NOTE. And ATS is pretty much a US item, while Electronic trade matching can in principle apply to exchanges outside the US as well. The ATS article, however, does need clean up and more references, etc. History2007 (talk) 01:16, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But the articles aren't long enough and if ETM is one kind of ATS then why not put them in the same article, for the sake of tidiness? The Sound and the Fury (talk) 14:23, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Length is not a deciding factor for a merge decision, given that articles get expanded over time. Further, the ATS is a US only system as the article states, so that remains a barrier as well. There are multiple barriers here, and not much to be gained. History2007 (talk) 15:18, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK. The US-centric issue seems the most relevant. Case closed. The Sound and the Fury (talk) 17:19, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Fine. Thanks. History2007 (talk) 17:21, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
