Beach access[edit]

The article states that beaches in the Nuevo(sp?) Altata development are not available to the public. Legally, all beaches in Mexico are public, up to the high water line. Problems frequently exist where *access* to the beach is limited by large, fenced developments, whose owners may not allow the general public to cross their property to access the beach. In some areas this has resulted in lawsuits, but the matter of property owners rights versus the right of public access to the beach is unsettled at best. However, it is not correct to say that the beach is, "not for public use or access".
