Father Rekowski's translation and history are fundamental to a proper understanding of the Kashubian immigrant experience in the United States and Canada. Moreover, this article was created as the English-language counterpart to an article existing since 2009 on the Kashubian version of Wikipedia, csb:Alojzy Rekowski.
