["Pornographic"][edit]

I would have to disagree with the assertion that the novel is pornographic, even if the entry merely says "almost" or some such thing. In fact, most of the sex is portrayed in such a way that the characters are indeed fleshed out and the action is left as decidedly less than erotic. I doubt that was Murakami's intent to begin with. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.115.216.143 (talkcontribs)

Proposed merger of Nancy Andrew into this article[edit]

As a possible alternative to User:KenWalker's proposal to delete the article about Almost Transparent Blue's English translator, I have suggested that the article about Nancy Andrew be merged into this one. Information about her is not readily available outside Wikipedia, and I think it's a service to researchers to offer them this information. Having said that, I think it's a fair question whether the information should be presented in a free-standing article about the translator or in the article about the novel. Because the Nancy Andrew article has been assigned to the Arts and Entertainment Work Group of WikiProject Biography, I invite members of that group to offer their perspective. -- Cuppysfriend (talk) 23:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[Lily][edit]

The character of Lily is almost certainly not a real person. She seems to be a hallucination of Ryu's, and only appears to him when he is alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grendal32 (talkcontribs) 05:42, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
