Note from article creator[edit]

Alex Bennett reviewed this article before I posted it. A previous joke article had been removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomyamaguchi (talkcontribs) 14:51, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To be more objective, this article would benefit from taking Mark Twain's advice and simply removing most of the adjectives and adverbs where most bias resides in any writing. 74.4.255.196 (talk) 21:16, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This person is notable[edit]

He has been on broadcast radio for a long time and is well known. Too bad no one can volunteer to provide a good write up. I cannot to so. Chivista 19:21, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I cleaned this one up quite a bit. Incorporated much of the trivia section into the article, and made it a bit easier to read. --Fightingirish 15:26, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On April 14, 2009, it was revealed that Bennett's office at Sirius/XM has no flat-screen TVs, while Opie & Anthony have at least twelve. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.32.222.226 (talk) 01:39, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On May 3, 2010, it was revealed on the Opie & Anthony program that Bennett will not hold the bathroom door for people exiting behind him at the Sirius/XM studios. --108.14.212.225 (talk) 03:26, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, he will remove the door, but let it fall to the ground. he then has a Saluki with a gyroscopically powered armature replace the door. hes actually quite gracious.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:34, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is no KITS-FM write-up for this article. That was his longest stint in San Francisco (from 1986 to 1997). His guests ranged from Bob Goldthwait, Tom Kenny, George Lopez, Greg Proops.... Oddly enough this write-up omits that.98.207.68.146 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:04, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Improvements Under Way[edit]

I've added many citations to reliable, verifiable sources for Alex Bennett's career and impact on broadcasting -- and I'll keep looking for more. I have followed his career enthusiastically ever since, as a child, I stayed up all night listening to his special report on "Paul McCartney Is Dead" rumors. AlineXu (talk) 22:46, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confident that more than enough citations have been added, so I am removing the "needs additional citations for verification" maintenance tag.AlineXu (talk) 21:38, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oodles of unsourced statements[edit]

References galore needed. Nicmart (talk) 14:39, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
