Merger proposal[edit]

I think it would be good to move the stuff in the Hwy 28A article here, as Hwy 28A is really just short strings that parrallel Hwy 28. I'd do it, but it's probably good to go through the proper process... Anyone else have two bits on the matter? --Mr Minchin Canada 19:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, better to consolidate the article. --Qyd (talk) 12:44, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs updating[edit]

Just made my first trip to St. Paul in about three years, and noticed that the town is now on Alberta Highway 29. I am presuming then that Hwy 28A no longer exists between Ashmont and Hoselaw, but rather has been re-designated as Hwy 28. The distances and map need to be updated by someone who has a source that can provide this information. Resolute 00:36, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate names[edit]

Listing municipally designated street/avenue numbers or road names as highways briefly pass through urban communities seems excessive and beyond the intent of the alternate name parameter. Seems like it would be more appropriate for provincially designated alternate names instead. e.g., Veterans Memorial Highway for Alberta Highway 36 and Northern Woods and Water Route for Alberta Highway 55. Sure enough Template:Infobox road states "alternate_name: Use in situations where the entire route has another name. For example, New York State Route 590 is called the Sea Breeze Expressway for its entire length." Hwy43 (talk) 03:08, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
